Welcome to Yoga & Psychology

Welcome to my page! I'm passionate about helping people explore and enjoy the connections between yoga and psychology.

 

As a certified yoga instructor (World Yoga Alliance - 300 hours/Yoga Alliance - 200 hours) and teacher of Psychology (BSc QTS), I offer a range of insights into the ways these practices can complement each other.

Yoga has been a part of my life since I was a teenager, and I have always found that when times are tough with anxiety, pregnancy, life stresses, going to a yoga class would always help me feel calmer.

 

Having taught Psychology for 15 years I felt it was the right time to combine my love for yoga with my love for teaching and sharing the knowledge I have gained through yoga and psychology to as many of people as possible.

I trained with Yoga2hear for my 200 hours Yoga Alliance accreditation and have since completed modules in Child and teen yoga as well as a range of other online training modules. 

You will find yoga classes and psychology tips and links to tutoring to help with GCSE and A-level psychology. 

I am also available to come into schools to teach yoga to both staff and pupils!

Yoga classes in the heart of Suffolk.

Many of my classes are designed for people who may be new to yoga, or returning after a break. So I always add in clear descriptions of each pose or flow as we work through a range of yoga poses and asana's (gentle flow's) for strength and fitness.

My classes will always finish with a Savasana to ensure you reach the full benefit of your yoga class, ensuring you feel relaxed and ready to face your world afterwards, and I love to drop in some tips that you can take out of the Yoga class to help with mental and physical health.

Mindfulness and Self-Care

Our workshops and retreats are designed to help you deepen your understanding of yoga, pilates and psychology, and to provide you with practical skills for improving your mental and physical well-being. From mindfulness meditation to yoga for anxiety, we offer a range of topics to suit your needs.

Yoga in Schools

As a qualified teacher I am extremely passionate about sharing knowledge about yoga and mindfulness techniques in schools. I am qualified in teaching Yoga to children through to teens and always plan sessions around the requests of the young people I am working with.
