At Yoga with Louisa, the health, safety, and wellbeing of all participants is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all students attending our classes, workshops, and events.

1. Participation and Personal Responsibility

Yoga involves physical movement, stretching, and balance. While every effort is made to provide safe instruction, participation in yoga classes carries an inherent risk of injury.

By attending a class with Yoga with Louisa, you confirm that:

  • You are physically fit and able to participate in the class.

  • You will listen to your body and practice within your own limits.

  • You will inform the instructor before the class begins if you have any injuries, medical conditions, or concerns that may affect your practice.

If you experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort at any time during a class, you should stop immediately and inform the instructor. Yoga should never cause pain or strain. 

Yoga is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

2. Medical Conditions

Participants who are pregnant, recovering from surgery, or have existing injuries or health conditions should consult a medical professional before attending classes.

You are responsible for informing the instructor of any relevant health conditions so that appropriate modifications can be offered where possible.

3. Hygiene and Cleanliness

To help maintain a clean and safe practice environment:

  • Participants should arrive in clean, suitable clothing appropriate for physical activity.

  • Only water is permitted in the practice area.

  • Personal equipment such as yoga mats is encouraged where possible.

  • Any shared equipment should be handled with care and cleaned after use.

These measures help maintain hygiene and safety within the practice space.

4. Behaviour and Respect

All participants are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors and fellow students.

Yoga with Louisa reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone whose behaviour may compromise the safety, wellbeing, or comfort of others.

5. Illness

Please do not attend classes if you feel unwell or have symptoms of an infectious illness. This helps protect the health of other participants and instructors.

6. Safety in Class

For safety reasons:

  • Please follow the guidance and instructions of the instructor at all times.

  • Arrive on time to allow proper warm-up and preparation.

  • Inform the instructor immediately if you feel unwell or injured during the class.

7. Personal Belongings

Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings. Yoga with Louisa cannot accept responsibility for lost or stolen items.

8. Risk Management

Yoga with Louisa regularly reviews risks associated with classes and venues and takes reasonable steps to reduce potential hazards such as slips, trips, or injuries during practice. 

9. Policy Updates

This Health & Safety Policy may be updated periodically to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
