I know it's everywhere at the moment isn't it? January reset, refocus, but there is a reason for that, not just the gym industry trying to make a lot of money! The start of a new year is definately nice to have a declutter and embrace the freshness and clarity which comes with January.
It's worth taking a look at the new year and the extra time you have after the busi-ness of December and make it your chance to begin a reflection and focus for you, and those around you. A great way to start the new year is to jot down your ideas and reflections as each day passes.
I have included some extracts and focus points in the following journal you can purhase here, or read on to see how to focus and reset for January.
So to start off remember, this is Your New Year, this means you can start to journal or reflection at any time in the year and tailor it to what you think will fit to you and your needs - You don't have to start this in January!
Â
Grab your own notebook or order your bespoke journal above and you will look at a series of themes and quotes for you to reflect upon and grow yourself in the next year.
You can use this as a guide or inspiration to help you guide yourself and make positive choices which will help engage your better self move forward, and have fun at the same time!
This is based on making small changes to have big impact. You can pick and choose what you would like to take forward into the new year. You can use it in a monthly order, or whichever order you select. The choice is yours – and let me know how you get on!
Â
To get the most out of Journaling it is useful to take some time to reflect on how you feel at the moment. Note how you feel, focusing on the following areas:
Â
Tiredness or energy levels:
Digestion – do you feel bloated or full of life?
Mood: Do you feel upbeat and happy, or a little low, or perhaps somewhere in between?
Focus: Do you have goals and ideas to work towards? Do you want goals and ideas, some people are happy with their own situation and set up.
Anything else you like to think about? Note below and we will reflect upon it towards the and of the year.
Â
January – New starts.
Your monthly focus: New beginnings and fresh starts. Embracing the new month and new year. This is the perfect time to bring in a new habit, but most importantly make that new habit enjoyable and achievable.
What will be your monthly focus in January? It can be something new or something that you enjoy or would like to bring back into your life?
Â
Yoga pose: Crescent Moon – Chest opening – energizing – refreshing.
Come up through table top - bring your right foot forward and raise both arms up in line with your shoulders. Bring your hands together if you wish.
Then come back to Table top and reverse on the left side.
Â
Health focus: Journaling.
By using this monthly focused project you will gradually bring in new habits and changes that by the end of the year you will notice some significant changes in your body and mind.
To help you document the changes, note down the following:
How do you feel today – right now, this morning, this week. How has you mood and energy been?
How does your body feel? Do you feel sluggish, unmotivated? Or happy and ready to take on the day and the week?
Any other areas you wish to monitor? Weight, blood sugar, headaches, anything you may take in your stride, but wish to alter a little. These are the big things the little changes will be able to alter.
So here you go - this is the January focus in journaling. Remember to grab a notebook or my journal, have a go at the crescent moon pose, book a class if you wish to expand your Yoga experience in 2025!
Remember to follow along on here for next months focus, or purchase the full 12 months in the Wellbeing Journal above. Thanks so much for reading!
